Performing live all over South Central Wisconsin, Horse is back again for another great show! A local resident covering everything from Elvis to your favorite country hits, join us out on the farm to hear some fantastic local talent!
Just Dave plays all the instruments a band would play on stage, one at a time through recording pedals, so it sounds more like a full band! Dave records all the instruments, and then sings and plays lead guitar over “the band“, and will often run out into the crowd with his wireless set up to play right in front of folks as they watch!
Ever wanted to ride a camel? New Beginnings Ranch out of South East Wisconsin will be bringing a petting zoo, camel rides, and pony rides to the farm! Most of their animals are given a second chance at life and give kids a great opportunity to experience these beautiful creatures up close!
Radiant Smiles Face Painting by Kinga Johnson will be ready to turn any face into an art piece from dolphins, to butterflies, to koalas!
Ron Schmitz will be back for another year to draw unique caricatures for any guests looking for some personalized art!
Stop out to see a live blacksmith in action!
From crafters to farmers, we have over 200 different vendors selling their products, each one different from the next. Our flea market and farmer's market offer spaces both inside and outside for vendors to set up.
Taking advantage of all that Wisconsin falls have to offer, we'll be offering fresh apple products right from our orchard on the farm including apple cider, apple cider donuts, apple butter, and hard apple cider. Stop out to pick some of these goodies up, you won't want to miss them!
At the Apple Fest, the majority of activities of the day will be centered around the apple. Some things include:
You can also take advantage of photo opportunities amongst the numerous fall/harvest decorations throughout the farm. Maybe even grab some $3 pumpkins for your fall décor.
All pumpkins are grown right here on the farm, in all shapes sizes, and colors, most selling for just $3.00 perfect for all of your fall needs!
We have gourds and squash available too for decorating and cooking, offering acorn squash, spaghetti squash, and butternut squash to name a few!
Various sizes of hay bales will also be available along with some other goodies to create the perfect fall look!
Thanks for your interest in our events.
BITTERSWEET BLESSINGS FARM is located at 4509 State Road 73, Deerfield, WI. Deerfield is located between Madison & Milwaukee on the I-94 corridor. We host 2 large crafter/vendor/antiques-collectibles markets. These events are held ‘rain or shine’.
DEERFIELD MARKET EXPO: May 22, 2022
DEERFIELD APPLE FESTIVAL: Sept 25, 2022
Both shows run from 8am-3pm. We allow set-up the day before, as well as the morning of, each event.
The Apple Festival is very much like an arts/crafts event, with a few exceptions: We will host many veggie/fruit/flower/fall harvest/etc vendors. And, since we have an orchard on the farm, the theme of the event will be the apple! At the show, guests can watch (or take a turn at stirring) fresh Apple Butter being cooked over an open fire; witness and taste fresh pressed Apple Cider; enjoy fresh apple pie, jams & jellies, apple cider doughnuts (all from the farm), or maybe stroll through the orchard and pick some apples for yourself…. you get the picture: Apples!
We strive to put on the very best shows possible and we are constantly on the look-out for quality and unique vendors.
We, at Bittersweet Blessings Farm, have been very busy preparing for this year’s events! You will be amazed at the improvements that have been happening on the farm, as well as the improvements to the events venue.
All Markets include indoor and outdoor vendor spaces (only 52 indoor spaces available), all indoor spaces are located inside old, restored farm buildings (including the historic 1901 dairy barn); We limit all spaces to no more than 15% with direct sales. Our shows consist of Crafters, Fine arts, Antiques, Gourmet Foods, Flea Market Collectibles, Direct Sales, a Food Court and Live Entertainment. Plus, FREE activities for the children (ie: balloon animals, caricatures, temporary tattoos, face paint, petting zoo, apple picking, ice cream, etc. (availability, season and dependent on weather)…
Hundreds of vendors and Thousands of shoppers.
Advertising is well under way, improving on last year’s public awareness of our shows. We will have newspaper, shoppers, yard signs, internet, posters, and highway billboards along State Hwy 73, Hwy 12 & 18, and ….we contract two (2) billboards on I-94 between Madison and Milwaukee, one eastbound and one westbound.
We would like to personally invite you to participate in the Market Expo and Apple Festival with us. The traffic is very heavy and most vendors do very well. Please message, text or email me for more info.

Bittersweet Blessings Farm is home to an heirloom apple orchard. Established nearly 90 years ago, the fruits from these trees are firmer, juicier, and tastier than those in most grocery stores.
Still talked about as a local fall destination when the apples, pears, cherries, grapes, and plums ripen, the farm has a long history of providing fresh fruit to shoppers in southern WI.
